Understand, he’s not the only one running, he just seems to get all of the attention. I’m not a Mainer so have no skin in the game, but I feel like there’s a hunger to kick out Collins and hope they pick the best candidate to not only win but to legislate.

Janet Mills and Susan Collins have been in power my entire life. Janet Mills was my district attorney growing up. I was in second grade when Susan Collins was first elected my senator. We need a fresh perspective in Washington. Time for the next generation to represent Maine.

Well I am a Californian who had to live through the rise and decline of Diane Feinstein who stayed two years beyond her ‘Best Buy Date’, it was an embarrassment and tarnished her legacy. Why add to the gerontocracy? There are others in the race besides Platner.

I am nearly 65 and I understand my limitations—she may do great and she’s definitely a fighter but at some point you have to accept the fact you’re just not as sharp as someone 25 years younger. We need bridges to the future
