it shocks me to no end that the bosses, who are themselves the biggest beneficiaries of this system and probably the most privledged class of people in human history, are tearing the wiring out of the walls of american capitalism.

hey, today's the last day of the SQ:XL merch sale. as a little bonus, if you buy a piece with my art on it (key art, badguy vs. bloodedge) you can expect a little doodle from yours truly. toss me a post or a dm with your receipt, and i'll get you a little doodle by the end of the month. 🐺👌
Wishing you got your hands on the merch you saw at #SQXL2025? We're keeping the vault open for a week.

Don't miss your chance to buy before 10/6, and we thank everyone for your tremendous support.

if you were able to find this thread and read it all the way to the end, thank you.

much love,

for now, im gonna chill.
I fully intend to be a part of the group that makes that event all we can muster. I want to put myself in a position where i can be better. Overall, this weekend has given me direction, and that might be the best thing that could've happened.
SQXL2 *will* happen. but with how well this past weekend went and how everyone is speaking on it, there are greater expectations that everyone involved on making that event happen will have to be held to.
I know i am capable of doing the work and it feels good to do it, but i also want to make these experiences memorable to me for the right reasons.

My goal is to be at Max Mode next February, and use that event to hone in on fixing things that I felt went wrong this time.
missing out on interacting with the people feels bad. there were folks from all over the country here this past weekend with whom i've either never interacted with in real life, or haven't seen in many months, and i just had no time to spend that quality time.
i was either incredibly nose down and busy or disassociating from how tiring the work was. so i either didn't end up with, or screwed myself out of, having a lot of time to socialize or do the other things that make these types of events enjoyable.
working info desk was an experience. never did something like that and all i did was operate under instincts and presumptions of how i *could* do it well. to then be receiving feedback that i *did* do it well felt good. but........
SQXL was awesome.
its very weird to go through and exit the experience of being at a larger fg event and not be particularly moved in how i feel about actually playing the games themselves.
probably a consequence of not having any real competitive goals but we move.

Got the gang together and directed a regional, start to finish.

Where to next?
see y'all on the other side.
For those coming through to this, I'll be running early badge pickup for the main event in the back of the venue for most of the evening
Seen a wild testament bumper sticker. Faded like crazy as well.
