Family-owned retail shopkeeper here... Virtually everything we sell in our shop has gone up in price from our worldwide suppliers. The money comes out of MY pocket and I do have to pass on some of the cost to our customers. Several of our suppliers have ceased shipping to U.S.

A 15-year-old girl was assaulted while alerting her community about ICE raids. The Department of Homeland Security denies any involvement, ICE misrepresents the footage, and then continuously alters its narrative.

Heartbreaking that the freedom of the press is, as far as the current administration is concerned, gone. Take what we hand you and report it or face the consequences. Well, I'm grateful to those in the press who have said "no."

Congress, one day, needs to make the law much clearer than it is now. Somehow our troops have been convinced that Trump/Hegseth's orders are "lawful." As a veteran, I believe they are not, but a "presidential finding" could and probably is "muddying" that.

I don't think it has to wait. If an ICE agent or any federal employee or contractor assaults someone and it is clearly caught on camera as absolutely unwarranted, local police and prosecutors should be able to arrest and charge that person. Please tell me if I'm wrong.

Jack Smith should agree to speak publicly, on camera, to Congress. Of course if he receives a subpoena for closed-door, transcribed testimony he will probably obey but he should fight for public testimony so the country can hear directly from him.

I spoke with several other retail store owners and one major distribution representative for around 100 suppliers recently and the news for retail is NOT GOOD. The capricious king of constant chaos is making it impossible for us to manage our inventories and prepare for the holidays.
