Actually - and incredibly - the first time I’ve seen The Divine Comedy, at The Barbican this evening: just brilliant

They get better and better

Outrageous. Most of my gigs are still £15 - 30, but prices are certainly increasing

Quite brilliant in Worthing this evening! He did 2’15”. Great night

Saw this on a plane and quite honestly think it absolutely the worst film I have ever sat through

The Wedding Present’s 40th anniversary tour rolled into Lyme Regis and the lovely Marine Theatre this evening. Once the pit got going it was a great night - love a small town gig!

The still woefully underrated @edharcourt.bsky.social this evening at the Joiners: a great set of songs old and new performed with his customary panache

This is the loveliest thing I’ve read in ages

From the main stage at #EOTR on Sunday to the lovely Railway Inn, Winchester this evening, the superb Ryan Davis & The Roadhouse Band
cpsouthon.bsky.social
Squid and Adult DVD on Sunday delivered great, crowd-pleasing sets, and both could teach Father John Misty and Black Country New Road, putative headliners that evening on Woods and Garden Stages, a thing or two about audience engagement #EOTR

Final thoughts on #EOTR. Personal Trainer were great; sadly Willem announced a break, so we won’t see them for a while. The buzz around Ryan Davis and the Roadhouse Band proved justified. Nice to see The Golden Dregs (at last).

A glorious racket, this just may be my favourite album this year (so far)

ALBUM OF THE WEEK: ‘I Wonder When They’re Going To Destroy Your Face’ by Prolapse

Sounding like they never left, ‘I Wonder When…’ is a furious, urgent, and uncompromising LP which matches the grit of Prolapse's early cult classics.
