We often hear people say “What’s the big deal? Trees are a renewable resource and old growth will grow back”. Unfortunately, this is completely untrue. Old growth forests are biodiversity hotspots that can’t be replaced in a matter of decades.

Abertans have had their say — and every time, we've said no to coal.

Demand answers, and demand action.

Send a letter to your MLA telling them you oppose coal mining in the #EasternSlopes of Alberta's #RockyMountains.

And ask them: What are you doing, or going to do, about it?

#Marine #heatwaves change how energy moves through the food web. Warmer water makes organisms burn more energy to maintain basic functions. Over time, this favours smaller, faster growing species and hurts slow growing top predators like #tuna, #salmon
