#padtober day 15. i'm really just messing around at this point and seeing what comes out. landed on this cool texture as a result of using a bunch of different timewarps a la ShaperBox and delay.

welcome to #padtober day 14 where i stretch out classic drum samples and feed them through the padinator.

on today's episode 13 of #padtober, i've returned to using the frozen mode on LuxeVerb, but this time i've introduced new textures, including a bassy drone and some vocal-based synth work.

My flip of Night Tapes' "Storm" is out now on Soundcloud! Loved this track off their new album and wanted to put my own prog-house spin on it! Hope you enjoy! 🩵

If you're in desperate need for music inspiration do this:

Go listen to an album you've never heard before from an artist you don't know. Start to finish

Do this often. You're welcome

#padtober day 12. I got lazy today and just decided to stretch, reverse, and chop up all my pads from the past 11 days (with even more reverb on of course!) to create a new singular, evolving texture.

#padtober day 11! Lots of layers going on here, but the star of the show is the granular layer that I messed around with in a really simple freeware plugin!

#padtober day 10. Tried to challenge myself to only use C notes this time around. The unprocessed stack sounds objectively terrible, but that doesn't matter because the end result of my effects rack is this really spacey blissed-out pad.

#padtober day 9. this one is honestly pretty simple but still sounds lovely. just a little bit of FM magic to the filter to give it those little high end floruishes, along with some minor reverb/EQ post-processing.

ok but what if I released another flip tomorrow?!??

wowww, did not realize he was that old that's awesome

#padtober day 8. decided to run with the infinite delay/reverb trick i used yesterday except this time I created my own little melody to use as the base. then i recorded it dry and stretched it out for extra melodics on top.

day 7 of #padtober. decided to go with something supersaw-based this time, and then also got a little cute and threw a random sample on top with infinite delay and reverb to give it an extra bit of texture.

#padtober day 6! Used piano-based instrumentation as the core of this one, with a chord layer, bass layer, white noise layer, and 2 melodic layers to create this soundscape I'm pretty happy with!

echoing what others have said, absolutely Outer Wilds

#padtober day 5! Wanted to try and give this pad some movement via a bunch of filters, flangers, and distortion. The washes of reverb help to make things sound much more subtle.

I say this specifically for those genres because I feel like the precedent for those scenes has much less to gain from those platforms. Hip-hop and electronic music (especially on Soundcloud) have much more of a presence on those sites independent of following

Love it when non-electronic/hip-hop acts (especially well-established ones) make their music freely available on Bandcamp and SoundCloud!
