Bluesky was okayish but it's just a Twitter clone and microblogging was never for me (I know that if you want to write a lot you can make threads, post a link to a blog or another alternate account or post a screenshot with the full text but I just don't like it (this is my only exception)). I've been trying it out for a while and, even though nothing will probably be like Tumblr ever, this is the closest thing I've found so far. It's true that there's not a lot of activity right now but, since it connects to the Fediverse, I can have more engagement from outside, for example I already have followers from Mastodon and one of my silly doodles got over 100 notes, most of them from outside Wafrn. I doubt the rumor that Tumblr is gonna join the Fediverse is true (I don't really know what to believe anymore) BUT if against all odds it does end up being true and there's a guarantee that Tumblr won't get deleted I'll stay there and cross-interact with people from other sites. And if it does get deleted I plan to stay on Wafrn and I don't think I'll come back to Bluesky." Screenshot of a continuation of the same text post. It seems at some point "let ppl enjoy things" became "u should enjoy everything" and now there's ppl who think disliking what they like equals harassment and censorship? Like I've seen a mutual get anon hate simply for saying he blocks ppl who ship incest and adult/minor bc he doesn't wanna see it 🤡
