My first red flag was when they fired all those workers and replaced them with AI… investing in AI military weapons was the final straw.

I still think Bluesky has the most amazing potential and I’m determined to see it through. I’m going to keep working on carefully curating my own start packs and lists. Lessons are being learned along the way here.

Oh yes, like anything, there is always nuance. There are appropriate ways to use tools. I was frustrated because I followed some starter packs and suddenly my entire feed was tag trains.

My husband worked at a job he hated and that tore his body down for 10 years because him, myself and our kids needed health insurance. It is a cruel system.

Oh for sure. I was more being critical of the mindless follow for follow culture. People might not be around all the time but I like to genuinely connect with people as much as I can when I’m here…. Not see 20 posts full of tags.

Building community takes work! I feel like I’m slowly connecting ☺️

It is veeeery difficult. I do think starter packs could be a good tool if the are curated carefully and built within communities… but I followed a few last night that were not built that way and I’m now dealing with the consequences (they were built for follow for follows).

We have a very shaded yard but I managed to build a garden in the corner… hopefully they will grow there!! Good luck!
