Arc raiders using AI for voices and then disclosing it in steam like this is extremely sketchy and dishonest. @valvesoftware.com needs to crack down on these disclosures and force publishers and developers to provide a quantitative report of their usage of Ai and stop allowing this weasling around.

I know that all of this stems from 2 main spots:

1. Convenience on the users end
2. Platforms doing their best to keep you on them for as long as possible

But I think we should all learn to eat a bit of inconvenience to stem the tide of internet consolidation to 5 different platforms.

I have the blazing, hot, scalding opinion that every app does not need to have a chat/dm/group chat feature

There's approximately a million and 12 ways to chat with people so idk why this is such a big thing that's always being highly requested.

Just heard that Spotify added messaging and well...

A better solution for social media, imo, would be allowing users to have profile "cards" where they can link their socials and contact info, but allow each field to have granularity of who can see it (ie: everyone, followers, mutuals, specific people)

Post should have the same granularity.

DMs on all these platforms are a security nightmare, it's where scams proliferate and when they're shoehorned in you can be certain it's just a disaster waiting to happen.
