My reference was to the 1. Less overall PTO taken with an unlimited policy and 2. No payout requirement which saves $$ esp in high turnover roles. An org would not adopt if it resulted in say 30% decline in $$.
I, like you, want ppl to have adequate PTO.

The system you choose is not the issue. The issue is whether people take time off they are allowed and whether their managers abide by policy. Unlimited is not a scam; designated is not a solution; people who need flexibility do better under unlimited.

“Appear to abuse” vs actual abuse. PPL often accrue x-PTO/hrs monthly, so ppl bank for planned vacation later. Scenarios where ppl have banked PTO at term is common. Most ppl take less time off with unlimited & there are guidelines of x-PTO. I require my team to take PTO.

It’s a racket! Ppl end up taking less vacation because they don’t to appear to abuse the policy, companies don’t have to payout accrued PTO time if you leave / termed.

It’s been like this 3 weeks. They moved the range hood vent today and marked the holes. Next week 🤞🏽🤞🏽🤞🏽 is when we should see more progress. Hoping to complete before thanksgiving.

Not much movement on this project since we are waiting on countertop. A bit of prep work today to mark the holes for the backsplash. Should have a partially usable kitchen next week. Still long ways to go before completion. #kitchenremodel

Everything about this is sad. We visited Houston and ate here for my wife’s birthday a few years ago. The line was wrapped around the block and we talked to ppl that drove hours to eat there.
This should have been a success story.

IMO college has great value proposition. Education and other soft skills taught in College has a ton of value.
The issue is the rise of for-profit Colleges and the unchecked rise of tuition and fees.
