I've used PeakFinder for yrs-I know it's accurate, but when its predictions for the #supermoon are perfect I spend the next day wondering how it works. My conclusion: “there's some crazy, amazing, fancy, #trigonometry stuff happening”

At Deception Pass the sun sets under the bridge for several days around the Spring and Fall Equinox.
I've found a spot in Sandy, OR where the sun rises behind Mt Hood, near the #equinoxes.

I’m still getting used to an #azalea as a late summer #flower, but #EncoreAzaleas has designed #azaleas that bloom in Spring&Fall so that #TodayInTheBackyard I have #EncoreAzaleaAutumnMoonlight plus a couple normal late summer blossoms: #DouglasAsters & #Roses

The PNW didn't get to see yesterday's eclipse but the #moonrise behind #MtHood was spectacular!!

So was the #sunset we saw while waiting for the #moon!

September's #fullmoon is nicknamed the #cornmoon and signifies the beginning of the harvest season.
