Hey, I’ll read it. Even when I’ll disagree. And ultimately you write for yourself, yeah? With one exception, I don’t get much attention on my fanfiction (especially the RWBY/Transformers Functionist Universe Crossover I’m proudest of), & I don’t think it’s great anymore, though I do still write it

And I mean it’s not as though I don’t still like Furman’s concepts & much of his (earlier) writing. They’re kind of inescapably foundational to my favorite franchise/special interest, so of course I am. I just also recognize that he’s kind of an “Old Man Yells At Cloud” type of person

Yeah speaking as someone who got into RWBY after Volume 3, I WAS expecting them to reunite by the end of Volume 4 & at first was disappointed that they didn’t, though this is a show that takes its time & I just needed to accept that. And I did. It’s a very…deliberate show. Or something Idunno tired.

Idunno what my point is, I just…this is going to be an interesting one. I used to feel really bad about liking Furman’s concepts & SOME writing, Moral Scrupulosity is an underreported part of OCD, though I’ve come to terms with it. Doesn’t mean I don’t still have Furman blocked on the other site

Like, look at James Roberts. Incredibly left, “radically” so, in much the same way I am (& I grew up with his work, it is kinda his fault), & he still treats Furman with a kind of…respect. It’s just interesting to me, cause it seems like a bit of a blind spot many people have

Yeah, this is gonna be…Idunno. I feel like a lot of people give Furman a lot of the benefit of the doubt, & like myself appreciate all he’s done for the franchise, it’s just that he’s also said & written some less than ideal things & I don’t know if everyone’s really confronted that, y’know? Let’s be fair, EVERYONE in that continuity was queer. It’s not really Bury Your Gays in that case. I just think it’s funny that they’re canon, & hey, I spent $50 on Horri-Bull cause I wanted to give my Needlenose his boyfriend. And cause it looks good. It’s not ironic, just funny is all.
