City government in Bloomington, Indiana is closed today for Columbus Day. They call it Indigenous Peoples' Day and refuse to recognize the name Columbus, but still took the day off. If Bloomington Democrats actually believed what they say, city offices would be open today.

1. Never be offensive, so we never speak the truth.

2. Reject (1) and be as nasty as possible, reveling in offending people.

Both are bad! Speak the truth, but do not be nasty, hateful and vindictive.

The man who always "says what he thinks" is not "strong." He is extremely weak. That is why we teach our children that some things are not appropriate to say in certain situations and sometimes not at all. Part of being an adult is learning to discipline your mouth.
