this is an illegal order. the president does not have the legal authority to discriminate against entire categories of americans on the basis of sex. this order is no different than if he had issued one reinstituting segregation.

I truly cannot imagine the strength it must take to be a trans person living in America right now, nor the fear that even the strongest undoubtedly have to live with at all times. It's sickeningly and horrifyingly inhumane, even by 2025 standards.

not a huge fan of maga party reporting really but i do think more people need to realize how loosely held some of this shit is. these are not deep convictions really. it's mean/angry/insecure people who feel entitled to act however they want and have no consequences. grievance politics.

actually there is probably a space for a bluesky account that posts screenshots of Twitter's Sacred Texts intermittently. so we can remember where we came from, our shared history of Posts. i'm too lazy to do it. but someone should.
