We have some info that suggests ICE may be more active today despite the rain. We encourage folks especially in Oxnard to remain vigilant, and everyone across VC to be on the lookout for ICE-y vehicles (SUVs or Nissans with dark tint in all windows, antennas, missing plates and bad driving.)

We’ve reviewed video of BP/ICE intimidating a driver by blocking the law abiding citizen this morning in their SUV in Oxnard. They then smashed the driver’s window. Everyday people think they are immune from ICE because they’re white or US citizens, etc. Not so in Ventura County.

*On 9/30 during the Truth Act Forum at Gov’t Center,VC Sheriff Jim Fryhoff admitted he voluntarily collaborates with ICE by handing “dangerous criminals” to ICE kidnappers. Then he read aloud cases where a Brown immigrant was transferred from Fryhoff’s custody, most being held for sex crimes.

Note — women who are sexually assaulted by Americans in Ventura Co. often receive little justice, but those assaulted by Brown immigrants? Sheriff Fryhoff white gloves them to ICE*. ICE detains a law abiding citizen at an ICE raid, like George Retes speaking m below? VCSO “knows nothing.”

Yay! Some of the sweets are hit it or miss but the red velvet cake slice is a newsroom fave. Pro tip — every night one hour before closing they offer select baked goods at 1/2 off. One of our reporters husbands swears by the 1/2 off bagel dog at around $3.50.
