The reality, destroying it takes some months, rebuilding it may take years or may not even occur if Democrats are focused on other priorities.

The abuse of power is staggering. I would love to see what Kavanaugh’s reaction would be if he or someone close to him was treated this way. 100% sure he will be happy with the “ brief investigative stop to check the immigration status” ICE would do to him.
But hey, he’s white, so no prob, right?

Thank you for articulating clearly what most of us feel but probably mis categorized grossly. We are balancing at the brink of a precipice and if we fall as a nation, we may not return to our ideals.
The opposition needs to react and pushback as hard as possible within our constitutional framework

Ethically and morally it’s a stain in to our nation. Legally it’s premeditated murder and there’s no statute of limitations. Eventually, Officers in the chain of command will be judged and jailed.

I’ve moved beyond the mentally ill label. These are evil, soulless people, who are in for it to gain absolute power and destroy our nation as we know it.
Labelling them as mentally ill is us excusing their behavior since it’s out of their control.
They are bad people surrounded by enablers.

Our views of the 2024 elections outcome don’t make the slightest difference to the actual progression towards an authoritarian state.
The root causes have been there to see for decades: Christian Nationalism; gerrymandering; an useless electoral college; and the rise of a billionaires’ class
