Yeah it can be brutal. I often have few hours during some dull corporate meeting on my dayjob, where my hands are free mindlessly draw or animate. It's almost never too productive as I'm mentally not there but it does at times curse me to days of additional work 🀣

For now, I was thinking of just "Physical Ability".
"Mental Ability", can just be the little nudge.
I'll also add Ability specific animations that look the same on any character. ie. "Sweet Scent" gives out a cloud of purple pixels. Kick makes some impact lines.

So exactly like pokemon πŸ˜…

True, but I have no equipping mechanic. πŸ™Œ
If you have a fire stone, all of your attacks just deal +1d6 Fire dmg.
If you have a flamethrower you just gain ability "Fire Breath".
Still means that if you meet the plant without something to deal with it, you better have high enough DEX to run away πŸ˜…
