i always thought the fact that he warden canonically searches for a cure for the taint is sooo interesting bc it speaks to some level of rejection of the martyrdom that is so inherent to being a warden. like surely there is a better way than poisoning ppl, killing most of them, to deal w darkspawn

really enjoying imagining how my warden is doing 23 years out from origins. despite my track record with previous military-esque characters i do think he is still warden-commander and i think he is a huge pain the ass. he and the first warden are sworn enemies but like in an office rivalry way
