Innis and Weinland Park welcomed Ohio Dominican University women’s basketball for a day on the court! 🏀💙

Players showed #OurCCS students dribbling skills, body posture, and teamwork, then jumped into a game so students showed their moves. Smiles, sweat, and learning all day 🙌

Students at middle schools across the District, like Yorktown Middle, Buckeye Middle, and Starling PreK-8, spent 11 weeks with Columbus Division of Police officers through the Teen And Police Service (TAPS) Academy program, learning important safety skills and building bonds.
Across CCS, TAPS Academy Empowers Youth Leaders and Fosters Stronger Police Partnerships
Middle school students throughout CCS, including those at Buckeye, Starling, and Yorktown Middle Schools graduated from the TAPS program.

Members of the @osuengineering team visited Dominion Middle for a water cycle lesson blending art and science 🔬🎨

Students built 3D models tied to drainage and stormwater planning at Glen Echo Park, applying creativity and problem solving through hands-on design.

The numbers are in! CCS delivered 8️⃣4️⃣0️⃣8️⃣ meals to families facing SNAP delays.

Thanks to a $125,000 City of Columbus grant, families received shelf-stable meals during last month’s uncertainty.

Operation Warm stopped by Parkmoor Elementary with dozens of volunteers from Abercrombie & Fitch distribute 6️⃣0️⃣0️⃣ jackets and shoes for students. Each winter, Operation Warm provides thousands of #OurCCS students with new gear, keeping them comfortable all season. ⛄

East Columbus felt the love today as Operation Warm and Honda USA teamed up to provide more than 380 new coats for students! 🧥 Dozens of volunteers from Honda showed up to help students pick the perfect fit as the winter chill kicks in for #OurCCS families. ❄️

It felt like summer in December as Parsons Elementary students teamed up with the Columbus Recreation and Parks Department for swim lessons! Students learned how to swim, dive, and practice life-saving techniques. This partnership keeps #OurCCS learners active, confident, and safe in the water! 🏊‍♂️💦

Watkins and Parsons kicked off December with new soccer gear from the Columbus Crew! 🎉⚽ Students received dozens of balls and played one-on-one with the Crew Cat. These donations keep #OurCCS students inspired to learn soccer and stay active every day!
