I remember seeing Harmony Korine’s Gummo in theaters when it first released and being absolutely mesmerized. Just watched the @criterion.bsky.social 4k transfer and was mesmerized all over again. It’s still as beautiful, disturbing, heartbreaking, and funny as the day it was released.
