Shot on a 1980 Nikoor F/2.8 180mm lens we have the Ptolemy Cluster, just above the Scorpion's sting.

There I was thinking you were way out in front of me ... seems we is both amytures with pretty standard gear. Keep at it Sue.

Camera time for me, clear skies and my kitties are getting impatient for their astro session.

Hope I didn't step on your toes there Sue.

Hoping to get a little Nebula action under Shaula with a 40yo Nikon F/2.8 180mm on my simple Sony a6000. Can surprise at times on a dark night.

You really should have your own tv show like David Attenburra.

"Here in the sandhills east of Bris-bane in Australa we find a unique Tiny Kingfisher building a nest in a hole in the sandhill ..."

Ya do that when ya gets old ... I woudn't know.

I have no doubt ... you did well, professionally even.

My efforts in here are to to draw the attention for anyone unable to see Scorpio.

Double decker kitty potties ... how quaint.

Mine have to line up and Tabs supervises the operation ensuring all is properly buried.
Tabs 3 days from 1st Birthday, invaluable Sanitary Inspector Cat who ensures each kitty properly buries their contribution. Tabs at 4 months

Going for Zorin Linux which I have on my other laptop and can run Windows programmes so far with ease ... win win. The laptop is a HP Computer: 15s-fq2xxx
with Intel Core i7-1165G7 (Tiger Lake-UP3,
2800 MHz so for $120 it will FLY!!!

As much as I hate to do it I am currently upgrading (if you call it that) from W10 to W11 on my wife's old computer. When finished I am going to rip that 256 M.2 SSD out Windows and all and the 2x4GB 1600 Ram chips and store them in an envelope. In goes a 512GB M.2 and 2x8GB 3200s and LINUX!!!

Took sharper eyes than mine to define it from my own shots, and happy enough with the poor results I got .. no site scrapers are gonna steal MY shots to build their reputation, never get to see MY Comet next to the Taj Mahal or Pyramids or Stonehenge.

I gave up on the local Comets during the full moon and cloudy nights. Could do some research in the morning , we got dark skies and no clouds ATM.

Tried tracking it Fladdle but it just aint in our part of the world.

Managed a few nice sunset shots on the silos 2 km away, they make a good study and I expect I will do this for a few afternoons. The kitties LOVE it because they get to play out the front with no dog monsters.

Haven't checked in a while but from the Northern Hemisphere it is currently in THEIR North West. Unlikely but will check soon.
