Please pray for retired clergy in Greater Dudley Deanery. Retired clergy provide great wisdom and experience as well as enabling worship during clergy absence. Give thanks for their ministry, pray for their wellbeing, and pray for more people to feel called to ordained ministry.

Today we reflect on this year’s Interfaith Week. Pray for all interfaith networks, especially the Worcestershire Interfaith Forum and interfaith work in Dudley. Pray for events which have happened during Interfaith Week and throughout the year. Please pray also for the national Interfaith network.

Pray for the diocesan Mission and Ministry Team as they support and develop vocations into both lay and ordained ministry and provide training opportunities for all in parishes, which offer practical support and deepen Christian discipleship.

Today is World Toilet Day, a UN Day of Observance. More people in the world have a mobile phone (5.8 billion) than have access to a toilet (3.5 billion). Pray for those at risk from poor sanitation, and for Tearfund’s Toilet Twinning initiative, considering how your church might get involved.

Claines played host to a joyful family ‘Light Trail’ during Half
Term which 90 people took part in. 10 households in Claines decorated their homes as “light stops,” each displaying a word that formed part of a Bible verse, for participants to unscramble.

Parishes across the Diocese working with Kirsty Pierson from our partners iSingPOP, have reported how much this support has helped them reach new families. The pilot has now been extended to see how this success can be built on.
