I've been messing with .NET 10 on macOS and Linux. It's been ~18 years but C# is still as good as I remember.
And you can run single-file CS scripts with "dotnet run script.cs"!
Shebangs even work! "#!/usr/bin/env dotnet run"
And it's pretty fast! Excellent work @damianedwards.com and team.

Apparently, Scott and I led the same lives.
I can’t fathom how many engineers John, the author of QModem, created by giving us access to the pre-Internet and specifically, to UNIX systems in a time before Linux existed.

The maker of QModem has died. He worked at Wildcat! BBS (Mustang Software) for a time. I ran a multiline Wildcat BBS on DesqView and later OS/2 Warp for years. Today, my boss at Microsoft is the author of Wildcat BBS! Stay in this business long enough and you’ll meet tons of lovely and smart people.

@pfrazee.com Is there some way to keep following you without seeing random tweets from people I don’t follow, to you and your replies, in my timeline? 🤞

Instead of always searching for new and better tools, consider learning your current tools more deeply.
They’ll probably already do what you desire.
Avoid the new and shiny.
