I grew up in central California majority white conservative community. I’m slightly older than him. We understood back then these weren’t appropriate views. This isn’t an excuse past 20. The military has always been super diverse so why was he missing these “friends” in his four tours

Marriage equality act was settled in 2015 (a decade ago) so I’m not purity testing that the f* word was recently discovered as offensive. And women who don’t want to get raped shouldn’t get drunk ever. These are not views that we just discovered. And I don’t need to be mid 30 to figure those out

Having friends doesn’t excuse you from your internal racism/homophobia We are witnessing this in real time in the US. And some of us never went through a homophobic stage in our mid 30’s and he is old enough to not have an excuse on this view.

I don’t think I’m trying to cancel this guy. But I want some proof before he gets appointed to one of the most prestigious jobs in the country. The left would have not let AOC run for senate out of a bar job and she has better credentials!

I’m not sure any of those people are facing sexism, racism or Nazism accusations. I’m happy to replace all of them with people who don’t have any other those problems and still espouse my values. Are there no other people available?

My biological mom (adopted) had a huge eagle across her back in the 70’s and I grew up being told how trashy that was… and then in college (late 90’s) everyone got a secret one. But back home everyone already had one. White millennials discovered them and made them social “acceptable”.
