LSE's RNS isn’t just an Exchange tool. It is FCA‑authorised as a Primary Information Provider in the UK.

That approval is meant to protect consumers. In reality, it handed fraudsters the credibility they needed.

Criminals using the hijacked name of a legitimate company called Penn Park Capital Management Limited published at least two bulletins through the LSE’s RNS.

To markets, they looked routine. That was the point.
They looked credible.
