With double the number of legs (and tails) and an underdeveloped set of wings, this mutated fawn is easily the largest wet specimen of the collection. As if in reverence, it's pillar-like preservation jar has been decorated in ancient symbols.

On the left a deer fetus floats in preservative fluid within a mason jar.

On the right another fawn wet specimen is bottled. In its short life it grew one large, lonely eye in the center of its forehead.

On the left is the largest wet specimen from the first image.

On the right are conjoined twin fawns, sharing an eye and torso. They are stored in a round, glittering bottle with a cork stopper.

The deer, hurt by someone important (the maw), wants to talk to them about it. They're very vulnerable-- openly displaying their hurt to the one that hurt them.

The maw responds defensively, as if attacked, framing the deer's emotions as the real problem.

"You hurt me," says the buck, head bowed to flash the threatening points of his antlers. An old bite wound marks his shoulder. Angry tears gather in his eyes.

The maw, too, sheds salty tears. Bloody spittle flies from its fangs as it snarls its answer, "Your volatile reactions hurt me!"

my current MO is to just leave them be. they're not hurting anything. we'll see how this plays out for me
