Congratulations to Emily, Vincent, and Luna from Year 7! They qualified for the Stage 3 Regional Spelling Bee at Hayesfield School. Their impressive ability to recall and spell words in German, French and Spanish within one minute was truly remarkable. Each of them performed brilliantly.
As part of their Food topic, Year 1 donned their chef hats and aprons to make delicious pizzas with help from one of our expert chefs. They were shown how to knead pizza dough, chose their favourite toppings and best of all enjoyed eating their pizza creation.

Last week, our pupils attended the French mathematics contest "Le concours Kangourou et le concours Koala." It is the biggest academic contest in the world, happening in 84 countries!

A huge congratulations on the fantastic swimming results last night at Bristol Schools Swimming Association Finals! To win 16 Gold Medals and be the winners of Junior boys, Inter boys, Senior boys, and Inter girls is a wonderful achievement by our pupils!
Year 5 had an exciting programming challenge out on the lawn this week. Using their iPads, they programmed their own little 'Mars Rovers' to travel from point A to point B and light up upon reaching their destination. It was a fun and engaging activity on a lovely sunny day!

Last month, we hosted a South Korean production company filming a documentary on AI in education. Our Year 12 students participated in a Skills for Tomorrow lesson and Joe Cozens delivered an insightful talk. We were thrilled to showcase Clifton High School's technological advancements in education.

This week, nine Year 8 and 9 pupils celebrated 'Fasching' at Badminton School with fancy dress and a quiz. Josh (Year 9) won a prize for his Jesus costume, and Karl, George, and James (Year 8) won the quiz. Everyone enjoyed 'Krapfen' (doughnuts) and had a great time!

The U14 Boys' Hockey team retained their U14 Plate with an exciting final against Downside School that went down to the final hit of the game. Clifton High School won a penalty corner with full time up and somehow squeezed the ball home, half volleying a rebound into the net for the victory.

In their German lessons this term, Year 6 have been reading a German book and completing activities linked to it, such as gap fills, comprehension questions, vocab hunts creating their own mini book. The book is called 'Schwuppdiwupp, kleine graue Maus!'

On a gloriously sunny Monday afternoon, we hosted an U9 netball festival at Coombe Dingle involving 130 girls in 18 teams from 11 different schools across Bristol. The afternoon saw all girls participating brilliantly with some super shooting, magnificent moving and perfect passing!
