This is the official Bluesky page of Congressman Emanuel Cleaver, II, representing Missouri's Fifth District (#MO05).
Attacking a veteran, who spent decades serving our country, just because he spoke out against the administration is beyond shameful.

The Defense Secretary should focus on growing threats around the world, not petty politics and wrongful retribution.
Breaking news: Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth said the Pentagon will formally censure Sen. Mark Kelly (D-Arizona) and launch administrative proceedings against him to consider whether to reduce his Navy rank.

Rather than foolishly threatening to attack a NATO ally by invading Greenland, the president should focus here at home on lowering costs and creating economic opportunities for American families.

Trump renews push to annex Greenland after Venezuela strike
President Donald Trump has repeatedly talked about annexing Greenland. He reupped those calls hours after the U.S. captured Venezuela's leader.

To end 2025, Congress voted on a war powers resolution to prevent the president from using military action against Venezuela, risking another regime-change quagmire.

Unfortunately, 99% of Republicans voted to kill the effort.

Congress cannot allow him to drag us into more unnecessary conflicts.
Trump in a single gaggle on Air Force One just threatened:

-- a second strike against Venezuela
-- Cuba
-- Mexico
-- Colombia
-- Iran
-- Greenland (which in turn would be an attack on the EU and Denmark)

Democrats have been fighting for months to extend ACA tax credits that help families afford health care.

We have successfully forced a vote to restore these tax credits and reverse the premium increases that millions of Americans are facing.

We just need a handful of Republicans to join us.

The president’s reckless decision to put our servicemembers in harm’s way by attacking a sovereign nation without a coherent rationale or approval from Congress is unconstitutional, destabilizing to the region, and deeply damaging to America’s reputation around the world.

The American people are sick and tired of the president’s reckless economic policies and refusal to provide relief to working-class families.

Democrats won’t stop fighting to address the Republican health care crisis and lower costs for hardworking families.

Despite a bipartisan majority in the House that supports an extension of Affordable Care Act tax credits, Republicans in Congress have allowed these benefits to expire, driving up health care costs on more than 20 million Americans.

Democrats will keep fighting to provide relief.
ACA enhanced tax credits have officially expired, meaning higher costs kick in this month for ~22 million Americans.

House is likely to pass a 3-year extension… but Senate Republicans told me before the holidays that bill will die in the Senate.

The president does not have the authority to start another war.

The administration should focus more time on lowering health care costs for hardworking families and less on instigating another regime change war that will waste valuable lives and resources.
