As in Chantilly, the local chateau in Fontainebleau is as breathtaking as the golf.
A serious storm blew through Northern France last night causing some damage including my hotel window which bit the dust. This morning's walk at Golf de Fontainebleau took place whilst the course team was in the middle of cleaning up. Proper 3 club wind.

Course walk at The Addington today. The hill to the left of the 8th was scraped and brashed last year. Heather is already emerging. @ivgd1.bsky.social is happy.
With many thanks to the incomparable AA Milne, it's our birthday...

The beauty of springtime heathlands at Royal Melbourne. 12th hole. Readying for Rory in six weeks.
Also from the new edition of Golf Quarterly: a piece on Alister MacKenzie's work in South America, specifically at two of our clients - Jockey Club in Buenos Aires and Club de Golf del Uruguay in Montevideo.
Many thanks to Duncan Ellis and editor Tim Dickson for the article on The Addington in this month's edition of Golf Quarterly - Henry Longhurst, Willie Whitelaw, Ronnie Corbett et al.

It was a little murky at The Addington yesterday but the City of London was particularly visible.

Recent vegetation management has restored many wonderful vistas both long and short.
Love on the rocks.

12th hole, Golf de Fontainebleau, near Paris, France.

Indigenous heathland and coastal manna gums - and a non-indigenous eucalyptus after this week’s high winds in Melbourne.
The flora that belongs is always best Victoria GC on the Melbourne sandbelt.
Bill Longmuir and GM Dan Blesovsky dodged this morning's squalls and enjoyed a few holes at Berkhamsted GC.

Park's landforms are beautiful. It's very early days but, in time, we hope to uncover many of those that have been lost over the years due to the ingress of vegetation.
Our partner Frank Pont has been appointed to advise Sutton Coldfield GC in Birmingham, England.

Originally laid out in the late 19th century, Alister MacKenzie was retained after WW1 to revitalise the course, the revised version finally opening in 1934.

We are delighted to announce that CDP & KruseGolf have been appointed course architectural advisors to Catalina Club, NSW, Australia.

We shall start by creating a masterplan that will take into account the building of a driving range on what is now the 1st & 9th fairways.

@mikeclaytongolf.bsky.social:

"There are 2 sorts of par3 - those where the pin position completely changes the shot you hit and those (usually with a small green) where no matter the pin position, you hit the same shot. Perdu at The Addington is an example of the former, the great 13th the latter."
Some interesting distractions en route to Spey Bay. The swanky Glenfiddich distillery and Speyside Cooperage's field of barrels (the camera doesn't do it justice).
Rather apt to be having tea next to these photos at The Addington.
