In Belfast for the week to take a very short beginner’s course in ancient Greek at Queen’s University.

Today, the alphabet, diphthongs, diacritic marks, & first transliterations.

Homework tonight: more transliteration (of English words received from the Greek more-or-less whole - eg ambrosia). 📚

Registrations for online Summer School classes close in about a week's time, so that the tutors have time to prepare for classes.
The fee for 2 weeks online is £150, 1 week in-person £95.
Online classes begin on 30th June, in-person classes run from 21-25 July.
