Gen X meets menopause. Expect turbulence.
Honestly can't imagine what Trump is up to. He must know any attempt to throw the Gazan population out and build Maralago V2 there can't ever succeed. Even if the international condemnation doesn't finish it, the potential for ongoing terrorism and conflict there would stop any serious investment.

Unbelievable - this press conference is deranged. Just shocking.

@lbc.co.uk @mrjamesob.bsky.social Why is it important the police investigate the Sun/Harry case. Because he wasn't the only victim - just the one big enough to fight back. Millie Dowler's family couldn't. Millionaire actors couldn't. It's not just about Harry.

Am so impressed by Prince Harry - the backlash of media poison he & his family have endured has always been obvious punishment for his actions against journalists & tabloids. He could have toed the line & walked away & most people would have given the venom unleashed & financial risk. What a man!

All this and yet all the energy is on debating whether Musk threw an offensive salute. I have to give it to them, they are absolute masters at using trolling to suck the energy away from serious scrutiny of what they are actually doing. Eye on the ball people!!!
All in a day’s work:

* Jan 6 pardons

* Ending birthright citizenship

* Halting refugee resettlement

* Return to office for federal workers

* Withdrawing from Paris climate agreement

* Withdrawing from WHO

* Rescinding Biden admin actions to advance racial equity & combat gender discrimination
Here are the executive actions and orders Trump signed on Day 1
We’re tracking the executive orders Trump signed on his first day in office, just hours after being inaugurated as president.

All the hoohaa about Neil Gaiman. And the learning point is that amiable, talented, right on men can still be sexually predatory. Most women already know this.

Hostility to home working is driven by one thing the big land/property owners fearing loss of rental income. Expect the same hostilities from the usual media outlets to the new renters bill.

I won't stop loving Good Omens because Neil Gaiman turned out to be yet another predatory man.

If we, in the UK, don't get on board with building a while new generation of council houses, prepare for trailer parks, high homelessness and stunted social mobility.

The global rush from oligarchs, politicians and journalists to kiss Trump's orange arse is vomit inducing. More importantly it's really weird and not normal for them to do this. They didn't do it for any other US President.

Kier skewered Badenoch in #pmqs but she won't care because most people won't hear the full exchange - she got her ridiculous sound bites in and that is what will be edited and used on socials.

Dead cats and chaos. Focus less on what shit they talk/tweet and focus on what they actually do.

This is not what he said and they know it. Something very disturbing has happened to much of the British press and a fair amount of conservative politics. The extremist Musk tail wagging the formerly mainstream dog.

Thank f*** we have a decent, intelligent and professional PM right now. Really impressed with Kier this morning.

Lesson for global multi billionaires (and indeed anyone) from this whole Elon Musk episode - always have someone in your life that can tell you you are wrong, being an arsehole or ill.
January 6, 2025 at 11:05 AM
Elon Musk is showing all the characteristics of a bipolar mania episode. The difference between him and any other person with a mental illness is he owns a global platform and doesn't have anyone in his life who can intervene.

I honestly believe that the UK should put all internet content accessible here under the same legislation/regulations that the TV and print media have to abide by. It's all gone far too far now.

Ok. Finally had the last straw visit to X. New Year's Resolution - get over Twitter....it died a while ago. X is like watching an evil zombie version eat sanity and reason.

Thank you to all the MPs who voted for the assisted dying bill. Watched my Dad starve and dehydrate to death as "palliative care" & it was barbaric. It took a fortnight (we were assured he would slip away within a day or two). No dignity, no peace and it was shocking. It needs to stop.

Hello Blue sky. Just over from X. How's the water over here? And how do I keep my algorithms honest and out of echo chambers?
