I’ve decided that life is too short to spend time looking for Green-winged Teal in the UK.

1. A Little Auk landed on the sea in front of the hide at Spurn.
2. Hundreds of Redwings (including an albino individual) and Fieldfares dropping in at Sammys Point.
3. A SEO in off at Filey
4. Pomarine Skua at Spurn
5. Great views of Brambling at Bempton.
Photo courtesy of Owen👍👍 Great views of a Little Auk at Spurn today. #Lifer
Travelled up to Yorkshire with Owen yesterday. Stopped off at the Attenborough reserve for a couple of hours. Cracking place. At Spurn a YBW gave stunning views. And a quick sea watch with good company gave a Sooty Shearwater. 84 species in total.
Cheers Dawn👍👍👍We’ll keep an eye out for you. 👍
Do they hang out at regular spots Dawn? Potentially passing through either Thursday or Sunday. On our way to/back from Yorkshire.
And many thanks to @peninsulabirds.bsky.social Great find Steve. 👍👍
Brown Shrike showed nicely this morning. Nice bunch of birders present as well. #welshtick #lifer #BirdingWales

Great views of the Brown Shrike found by Steve Jones. #birdingWales
Increased in number in the back garden this week as well Neil. At least 5 regularly visiting. 👍
Beautiful family day at Whiteford Point today. And just about to walk up the hill back to the car park when we noticed a distant Osprey sat on the dead trees. Missed Ed’s Hobby unfortunately though. #BirdingWales
That’s a beauty 👏👏👏👏👏
I’m sure me and Kev had the Stej a few years ago Dawn. Looked exactly like all the photos. But it was so far out I didn’t have the confidence to tick it. Good place to go birding though with some friendly birders around.
Just Sandwich Terns when we were there Shaun. Missed the one by Swindon/Reading by a day as well. Catching up with King Eider as my bogey bird😂😂😂 Cracking photos on your feed btw. 👍🍻
I’m a fair weather birder I’ve decided John. 😂😂
Cold and wet couple of hours at Fishguard. No sign of WW Tern when we were there. No doubt it’ll turn up once we head for home. Nice flat white in the cafe though.

We had awful weather in August as well Paul. That food looks delicious though. Been a while since I’ve been there.

Took an hour after work this evening viewing this smart looking Red Necked Phalarope that’s been showing well at Lisvane Res and it didn’t disappoint also 2 Grey Phals present. #birdingwales #birds

One of the three Grey Phalaropes at Lisvane/Llanhishen reservoirs this morning. The Phalropes were seen to be occasionally taking to the air and picking off flying insects. #birdingwales
3 Buff Breasted Sandpipers still at Colliford Lake. #CornwallBirds
