I loved Bambam's poncho sweater so much, but it seemed a tad big on him, so I ordered another color in the next size down, and think this is the better fit. These things are expen$ive but worth it! Just *look* at those colors and details!

The markets are staying afloat right now on the hope that AI will destroy American workers. What a bleak thing.

A few years ago my employer bought an "AI startup" and foisted its app on us. I found it anti-productive and frustrating. After taking great pains to understand it, I wrote a 6000 word critique of it with a dozen photo and screenshot illustrations. My boss passed it up to her boss…
AI adoption is slow and uneven, writes WSJ'S Christopher Mims. Workers who could get the most out of AI might need the most encouragement, education and guidance.
AI Adoption Among Workers Is Slow and Uneven. Bosses Can Speed It Up.
Early adopters are piling in, but getting everyone else to use AI will take leadership, education and listening to the interns.

This makes me want to dash around the corner and grab a pie from Kroger for breakfast! I'd do it for sure if I could get a sampler that was 1/4 each of apple, pecan, pumpkin, and potato.
It’s a white black Friday day. November 28, 2025. It’s also pie for breakfast day.❄️🥧

Temperature dropping like a rock in Savannah. 49 and falling. Very glad I have a sweater and a puffer vest that Bambam will let me put on him.

Finally sitting down to my Thanksgiving feast: ribs, collards, and red beans & rice. I had a turkey breast, stuffing, and cranberries ready to go, but decided I felt more like this.

The transcript doesn't actually do justice to what a fucking asshole Trump is to this woman (of course!) reporter. Shame on America for electing this thoroughly misogynistic racist rapist pedophiliac piece of shit over a Black woman.
Q: Officials say the suspect in the DC shooting was vetted & it came up clean

TRUMP: He went cuckoo. He went nuts. There was no vetting

Q: Actually, your DOJ IG says there was thorough vetting of Afghans. So why blame Biden?

TRUMP: You're just asking questions because you're a stupid person

Truly incredible how many commercials there are for AI products (copilot, gemini, etc.) that are getting shoved into everything whether anyone wants them or not. Thanksgiving football game time-slots can't be cheap!

And did you notice that grocery stores that used to just play boring oldies when we were kids are now pumping out bangers?

I think Fanduel needs an intervention for its gambling problem! It's losing on big payouts to all those winning users, and then it doubles down, buying all this expensive advertising, begging even more users to come win and take its money.

Wrote this up on a comment thread at FB and decided to bring it over here too. Happy US Thanksgiving— or, as some of my Canadian friends call it, Yanksgiving, which is even more appropriate than they intend because it really is a Yankee holiday.

Weirdest day to be an American emigrant or expat.

Today I'm thankful for this lil' turkey. I'm not the Mama who had to give him up and he's not my heart-dog I lost back in May, but we're taking care of each other through those losses. He gets to be comfortable and loved, and I get to comfort and love him.

One way to fight fascism is to not let it take away our sense of hope. Our sense of wholeness and our sense of humor.

This Thanksgiving, amplify Indigenous creators. Watch my friend @joeycliiiiiift's short film POW! Hilarious, radical and real.

If you come at America's First White President, you best not miss, especially if you're a Black woman district attorney. I would have thought she understood that, but she blew her case on a completely unforced error. Nothing about this outcome is fair, but she should have known it never would be.

Seems like someone on here strongly recommended this to me fairly recently, though I can't seem to find the skeet. Anyway, that was in my mind when I joined in on this watch-along, and I'd like to thank them for a good recommendation!
okay shattered glass is streaming for free on tubi and prime. i’m starting in 5 mins if you want to watch, too.

Gio's post and the discussion around it inspired me to bust out a tin of anchovies I bought a while ago and have them on a pizza. Last time I tried that they melted into the cheese, but I guess because I didn't cook this flatbread so long, they retained form, texture, and flavor.

Seeing holiday lights & decorations around downtown Savannah really makes me miss Butterbean! I always enjoyed biking with her in the backpack to look at them. Bambam is still nervous in the backpack and doesn't really care for it. I'll probably still tour around on my own, but it won't be the same.
Kicking off the holiday season, here are some pics from last year of Butterbean in her backpack checking out some Christmas decorations with me on bike rides.

The one thing I don't get about LAST SAMURAI STANDING is how cholera motivates some characters to risk their lives for money. It's not like modern medicine is out there, if only they could afford it. Prayer is depicted as useless, but what effective treatment could anyone pay for at the time?

Good post. It prompted me to call my senators (Warnock & Ossoff) about getting Schumer out of senate minority leadership *again*. It was nice this time that I could name a caucus and other senators whose side they could join for that purpose.
