The Toronto announcers were talking about how proud Dick is of his new goatee. Apparently, this season we'll all get to see the new and improved hairy Dick!
My NBA W-L predictions last year were--surprisingly--better than other people's predictions. #NetsWorld #NBA

He's looked much more confident and professional than Traore. I have hope.
The epiphany I had when studying Russian years ago is that they pronounce their consonants with different tongue positioning than we do. It's not d-yoh or djo. It's just "d", but with your tongue starting in a position pushed forward against the back of your teeth.

Dr. Kimberly DiMattia, known to her Russian students as Kira, has a range of offerings for anyone who wants to "move the needle" on his/her pronunciation.

And if we trade Claxton, we could start Sharpe and Timme is the twin towers. With a lineup like that we might win 17 games.
Summer League stats don't mean a whole lot, but they can offer us some basic insights (for example: Drew Timme rocks!). #NetsWorld

Demin and Wolf, at least, seemed to be playing with confidence last night. One can hope.
Fuck analytics. Or salary logic. I don't like this trade because I like Cam Johnson. And I want to root for him. On MY team.
I was surprised by the Nets’ draft. I was surprised by Demin at #8 (instead of Maluach or Murray-Boyles?). I was surprised—like most people—that we used all of our picks. In have to admit that I feel a bit disappointed. But I have to remind myself that Marks has been good at the draft. #NetsWorld
I offer up counter arguments to my arguments that the draft is overrated, then offer up counter arguments to those counterarguments. #NetsWorld #NBA

And in the 1996 draft (the "2nd-greatest draft of all-time"), #2 Marcus Camby, #3 Shareef Abdur-Rahim, #7 Lorenzen Wright, #8 Kerry Kittles, #9 Samaki Walker, and #10 Erick Dampier were never selected for an all-star team (even though many of them had solid careers). So yeah...
I created a statistical cheat sheet that gives numerical values to every draft pick in order to figure out if it's worthwhile to package some late draft picks for some earlier ones. #NBA #NetsWorld

Getting the 6th probably would've made only a microscopic difference. But getting the third pick--VJ Edgecombe!--had a 50% chance of making a big difference. So yeah, our lottery did suck.
At 6' 1/2", he'd be shorter than every player on this year's roster--including Reese Beekman! Even Trae Young is 6' 1"!
I'm interested in and hopeful that the Nets draft Kon Knueppel, Khaman Maluach, Derik Queen, Jase Richardson, Asa Newell, or Collin Murray-Boyles.

It was a surprisingly uplifting way to bring an end to the season. These young guys may not be the best players in the NBA, but they all play with a lot of heart. They're fun to watch. Jordi's turned this franchise around. Maybe next year we can be this year's Pistons.
And another aggressive defensive effort, too.
Yeah. Claxton looks like he's only giving half his effort all year long. He's been in cruise mode. But Sharpe still has something to prove.
Defensively, it'd make sense to play Sharpe at the rim and let Claxton roam the perimeter. He's much more agile than Sharpe. But offensively, they'd both clog the lane.
All true. But my larger point is that Claxton needs to get his butt in gear. He hasn't gotten any better this year by any stats metrics or by the eyeball test. Maybe some friendly competition between these two might finally inspire Clax to work a bit harder, maybe finally become an all star.
