You might notice crews in your neighborhood inspecting utility poles. They’re working on behalf of FirstEnergy to check the structural integrity of our poles as part of a routine 10-year inspection cycle. If crews need access to your property, they’ll knock on your door to let you know.

Operation Snow Lift offers snow plowing assistance to eligible Mentor seniors.

A voucher distribution event will be held on Thursday, October 16, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Mentor Senior Center located at 8484 Munson Road.

The city of Mentor and Lake County Council on Aging have partnered to create & test a pilot emergency snowplowing assistance program. Operation Snow Lift is designed to support low-to-moderate-income Mentor seniors who meet specific criteria and may struggle to afford per-push snow removal services.
