Haven’t watched CTV or Global for years. And you even need a critical eye for CBC as well.

I became exhausted with hopelessly biased “commentators” that networks love to use.
Cut the cord. Abandon the networks/legacy media bought by billionaires/RW interests. I no longer rely on CTV, Global, Postmedia, FOX, CBS, CNN, ABC, etc. They are too soft, compromised, and/or outright biased.

It is imperative to critically sift thru the news to find other ways to stay informed.
To all the freedumbers out there:

It is a basic human right that a group of professionals can freely agree to collectively work together for better working conditions.

So why aren’t you enraged that the govt mandated them back to work AND made sure that they can’t legally challenge this order?
At 2 a.m., the Alberta legislature passed a bill that will force 51,000 teachers back to work, impose a four-year contract and use the notwithstanding clause to stave off a legal challenge and suspend teacher bargaining at the local level. It includes fines for Ts and the ATA if they defy it. #AbLeg

Bill 2 passed early Tuesday morning after a long night for lawmakers in the provincial legislature. Premier Danielle Smith’s government introduced the legislation the day before.

So the guy who desperately wanted to get rid of PMJT has increasingly lost his marbles since he resigned?

Oh, btw, PMMC tricked the electorate. She had to get that in. 🙄
I hear he has the goods on Biden too 🤦‍♂️. This idiot does not have an original strategy in his head. All MAGA all the time.
Most of their products are 🗑️ anyway. Plenty of far better options for cars, trucks and SUVs.
So there’s minimal freedom of movement for those two 🤡🤡, but total freedom to 🐂 💩.
Convicted criminals Tamara Lich and Chris Barber have created a new show called “House Arrest” while they are carrying out their house arrest sentences

These people are making a complete farce of Canada’s criminal justice system
“White” guy who has never held any job other than a politician… Slight edit.
Totally agree, but does this fight really have any teeth when she has no private proponent stepping up? Didn’t PMMC plainly say that private💰has to bankroll it? Isn’t that position viewed as reasonable by AB folks? And if these pipelines are so lucrative, why do they always seem to siphon public💰?
PMMC mainstreamed climate risk in finance, influencing regulations in the EU and 🇺🇸. He has raised over $10 trillion in private capital pledges for climate action. His advocacy for decarbonization is one of his core credentials. Cons call him a climate zealot.

I choose to keep things in perspective.
Trump, Carney Discuss Keystone XL Pipeline Comeback

CBC is reporting that Tuesday, PM @MarkJCarney raised the issue of reviving KXL w/@realdonaldtrump during trade talks.

It isn’t a grand strategy. It is reality.
I can’t argue with you at all on that. All we can do is hope. I do think PMMC would gain TONS of cred if he pulls off a decent deal with 🇺🇸. Then he has some major leverage to start addressing other important files.
We also have to realize that, what, 40% of voters either don’t believe in climate change, or they concede that “something” is happening in our environment, but they don’t want to sacrifice anything or be inconvenienced while we address it.
PMMC can’t do anything on climate in a 4 year term if he’s not elected.
You said it much better, but that’s my point 👍.
I agree. But the 🇺🇸 situation right now is more important. That’s undeniable.

Maybe the 🇺🇸 relationship improves within a few months and PMMC can start looking at climate more. That’s what I’m hoping.
I agree. But the 🇺🇸 situation right now is more important. He’s got his priorities straight in year one. If he’s doing nothing on climate in years 2, 3 and 4, that’s a different story.
Sorry, but he can’t do anything about the climate if he puts it at the top of the agenda and gets the cons elected. That’s a fact. And cons would do nothing on climate in a 4 year term. Maybe they even go backward. Can you say that about PMMC after a few months? No, you can’t.
He’s not a career politician so why did he want to get elected? He doesn’t need the job, right?

Perhaps he realizes that the current moment does not demand a full court press on climate change. I’m not saying he’s right to ignore it, but he definitely was reading the room properly.
