If the Iowa legislature is willing to take away rights from trans Iowans, none of us is safe because they will have proven that they only believe in rights for those who agree with them. Don’t think that you may not be next. “Our freedoms we prize, our rights we will maintain.” Or will we?

Given all the hate filled anti-trans bills and orders that are out there, it is import for me to say again that this pastor loves and supports the LGBTQ+ community. #BeUMC #Loveislove

DOGE is potentially coming for Social Security that we have all spent years of our lives paying for. The richest man in the world wants to steal our retirement. Is this what you voted for? Is this where America is going?
Americans like to think they are pragmatists. So when government officials aren’t following the rule of law some might think, “great, they are cutting through the red tape.” But when that law involves your rights or your loved one’s rights, your freedoms will be the red tape that gets cut.

It’s shameful that we don’t do better than this for our citizens.
