A win for Cincinnati gets them the #2 seed in the East, while a Montreal win will provide some morale for a disappointing season. FC Cincinnati took another trip out to the West Coast Saturday night to take on the LA Galaxy. The goal was two fold: earn their 10th win away from home, and hold the gap to just two point for first place in the Eastern Conference. Despite being up a man for a majority of the second half, the match came down to stoppage time once again with FC Cincinnati gripping tightly to a one goal lead.

Coming off a strong finish against Nashville, a high-caliber Eastern Conference opponent, FC Cincinnati travels to Dignity Health Sports Park on the campus of California State University in Carson, California, to face the six-time MLS Cup Champion LA Galaxy. They won the Championship last year, but circumstances have changed. The Galaxy The Galaxy's star has fallen to the bottom of the Western Conference, managing just 4 wins, 21 points, and a -23 goal differential. 

It took a few attempts, but FC Cincinnati finally punched their ticket to the playoffs for the fourth time under Pat Noonan. There are still some obstacles along the way to the MLS Cup, including the team that won the entire hill of beans last season. The public was sufficiently amazed when the Los Angeles Galaxy tiptoed around the competition and beat the Red Bulls for their sixth cup.
