The neat thing is that the AI for early discovering breast cancer and the AI for making these images and video share very little in common, so we can freely deport the people involved in the latter to the sun without impacting the former.

Jenna Ortega revealed in an interview with The New York Times that she quit Twitter after seeing explicit images of herself generated by Al when she was a teenager. She also became inundated with messages from fans that ranged from "disgusting" to "absurd."
"I hate AI," Ortega said. "I mean, here's the thing: AI could be used for incredible things. I think I saw something the other day where they were saying that artificial intelligence was able to detect breast cancer four years before it progressed. That's beautiful. Let's keep it to that. Did I like being 14 and making a Twitter account because I was supposed to and seeing dirty edited content of me as a child? No. It's terrifying. It's corrupt. It's wrong."

I have such fond memories of swimming with my brother in the pool and then getting out and sitting in the sun in a towel to dry and playing Pokémon. The OST still lives in my head.

Reading people's memories of Pokémon Gold and Silver is making me emotional at work. Such an important game to me and it still is so special. I remember being amazed by the day and night cycle, the calendar, the shiny variants, the new Pokémon, Kanto. Gosh, all of it.

I’m quite seriously concerned about the economic collapse that’ll come with the AI bubble popping, and I feel like this really illustrates why: so many headlines touting huge numbers and insane productivity for services there is absolutely no market for. Who wants 8,000 extra books a year?

Why? Who is this meant to be good for? Nobody wants your shit AI books, never mind 8,000 in a year. Just a terrible idea and a horrible road the publishing industry is heading down.
