And the second album of the year arrives: if I paid #toe £1 for every hour I have listened to this album, the flight to Japan to see them would have been cheaper. Instead, I significantly hiked their Spotify listens. Now, I'm with the album I love. Oh. And the EP, EPs don't count to the total...

Gearing up to the 2nd album of 2026... In the meantime, I've rediscovered old favourites from the days before streaming (yeah, really)
Here's a recommendation from 90s Acid Jazz - which seems to me something like if Lalo Schifrin got drunk with Genesis to write the new Bond theme #Corduroy

The first album of 2026 (and first I've bought since I was a teenager) is from #Hällas!
I've been listening to this loads recently. So imaginative, especially to a writer, it's very me. Love it 🤘

Dystopian multiplayer typing battle royale. Play time: 1hr

Starting a collection for demos of new games I'm playing from #Steam 's #NextFest !
Tagging them here, maybe post a lil review 🕹️
Trying to branch out and pick stuff I wouldn't usally buy... Also, as a writer I'm exploring broad genres to see how and where writing and narrative can be used ✍️

I saw campaigners for a disruptive British party recently: in the moment I drove past, one held out a phone at arms length; like a knife, or a scorpion, camera trained on a passerby who had challenged them. I read in the campaigner's face a mix of power and perverse excitement.

I watched #SchoolofRock again recently, fearing it may have aged, or simply not been such a liberating, inspiring experience as my 9-year old self had found - but no, the opposite: I saw an entirely new adult perspective which is that rock and roll feeling all over again. What an awesome movie 🎸🥁

Age yourself with a movie you saw in the theatre as a kid.

Fun one at the opening of 'Worm', where our "diver" explains how they disguise illicit Metanet activity; laundering income through tips on a tech-troubleshooting forum.
Character tone set on the second page here: Creative, tongue-in-cheek and morally ambiguous.

Well, looks like everyone in 'Worm' is pretty agreeable so far.
First person writing though, perhaps it makes sense that the narrator is consistent?
