I actually really like this new jersey! Hoops is not really a done thing in the GAA inter-county scene. I applaud it, it's a bit different
Would be even better if they changed the yellow to white...and then could play like the Super Hoops!! #TheMightyQPR
The new Roscommon jersey for 2025.

A bit bizarre to go for hoops. Not a fan.

GAA Inter-county account Starter Pack to follow on Bluesky

Something to note- there are only 5 counties with official accounts, and 2 more not updated.

The GAA world moves slowly as they say... ;-)

I'll add more as they come on stream! Ciaran

Haha 😛 I’ve already had to mute a few users…not because they have posted anything bad, just that they MIGHT do!
I’m taking zero chances 🤣

I’ll look forward to this one! ⚽️👏

Yeah definitely sounds like that’s his intention
But sometimes sport has a way of grabbing you and dragging you back in, especially for elite level players who are still at their prime

A break might do the world of good

Who else thinks we will see Brian Fenton in a Dublin jersey again? ✋

And I don’t mean the Dublin Masters over 40s team

They don’t need any more help…(apart from when they come up against Tyrone 🫣😛)
November 20, 2024 at 9:33 AM
That's my exact intention also Lee (though will be more general sport, with plenty of GAA)
Twitter/X is a constant barrage of everything else.
Sometimes my own fault, but intend on keeping this sport-only.
Better for the soul!

Same for me I have to say. Brian Fenton was the key cog in that Dublin team (amongst a raft of really, really important cogs obviously...McCarthy, Kilkenny, Con, Cluxton etc)
Wonder how people have deleted their GOAT Dub posts from James McCarthy's retirement ! Fenton deffo better for me #GAA
A sad day for Gaelic football fans everywhere. The best Dublin footballer I’ve ever seen

hahaha exactly.

Re the Gaelic football rule enhancements (although I do like them [not all], and support them)...anyone else feel it will be a really big step to enact such drastic changes off the back of exhibition games?

How they affect the sport will be much different in competitive games (maybe less impact!)

Where have all the great number 10s gone from the game? Incredible haul of players there

At this point in 🇧🇷 Ronaldo’s young career (1997 🤷‍♂️) he looked absolutely unstoppable!

And could have gone on to be the best ever (pre-1998 WC Final/knee injuries)

And of course Batigol was Batigol ⚽️👊
When the world witnessed R9 and Batigol play upfront together 🤩

Big big news. Fenton was one of the all-time greats, and was the greatest midfielder I've ever seen (Jacko before my time). Rarely does a player still in his prime as one of the best players in the country retire. Dublin will miss him desperately, I hope we see him again in blue
