Went to Climax of Night and got 3rd in Queen of Heart '99 by picking Rapid Ayaka and mashing 5C and 2A. Funniest medal I'll ever get. Overall this year's CoN was my favorite event I've ever been to, and I'm highly looking forward to Combo Breaker and 2026's successor event. Long live the night.

Rapid Ayaka is 100% worth the time investment while the Japanese scene lets her remain tournament legal, she has some diabolical cross ups and her insane mobility lets allows her to be far less committal than most other characters

There's probably a way to enable this in the arcade version, I wouldn't know since I've never played Rainbow despite owning a Tekka e-Amusement Pass myself

But if the default art makes you too uncomfortable or you just happen to love the chibi art, just know that it's always an option!

Oh one more thing about Bombergirl that's worth mentioning lest I make this thread any longer

I know in the PC version of the game you can actually swap the character art with Chibi art from the gag manga! This includes replacing any lewd cut ins with disgruntled chibis instead

Every anniversary they seem to do a free random character gacha pull though, I ended up getting Sepia Belmont.

I haven't been able to keep up with it since I've been spending so much of my time traveling to offline FGC events but I own a lot of physical media, it's crazy how much stuff Konami pumps out for this game

I'd argue they put more love into this game than anything else from Bomberman in recent time

The PC version can be played but since it was only designed with Japanese servers in mind the connections can get a bit spotty

Also the PC version is a little behind unfortunately as a way to incentivise playing in the arcade

PC is still on Konaste
The Arcade version is Rainbow

Bombergirl loves giving their more lesser known games some love, they even name dropped Rachel from Martial Champion as a potential character at one point in one of the gag Mangas

I cannot stress enough how much I love Bombergirl enough for that little fact alone

Monster Maulers is a pretty cool game in and of itself, it controls like a 2d fighter but it's more of a boss rush that can be played either single player or co-op

It's a massive love letter to sentai shows from around that era and it's one of my favorite hidden gems from the Konami of that era!
