Oh cool. What did you use it for?
It just feels so good being a beginner in something again and actually learning something new the hard way 😍
oh thats good, I'll need to think about that for a bit
I like it a lot, but still trying to get in the right mind-set around events. Currently using quite a bit of eloquent in the events cause I saw @cmorrell.com doing too :-)

@cmorrell.com is there a good answer to when storing sthg in the db and when in a state and when both?
Switched to this approach for events, like I do with actions:

1️⃣ Make sure action/event was called
2️⃣ Test action/event isolated

Makes you test cleaner and less duplicated code when you use the same event/action somewhere else πŸ‘
Wow that looks cozy πŸ™Œ
In a time where everything should fit in a 30sec spot, be the one who...

- creates 40min videos
- writes 10-pager blog posts
- records 2h podcasts.

We need you!
Event sourcing is a perfect fit for the app since a lot of things are happening that lead to a β€žresultβ€œ.e.g. user scores etc and I want to learn more about it
Oh it does? πŸ€” that would be fine of course 😁 thanks
haha, did you had Boost installed?
@cmorrell.com

Any reasons this assertion is protected?

"protected function assertCommittedTimes"
oh hmm guess I didn't see that, so I am using the non-specific way of faking here?
Thinking about my test flow around tests. Here is where I am at with an import test. But not happy.

But I guess events are just like actions so I guess I would prefer just to make sure they are called and I assert the DB inside an event test isolated πŸ€”
Starting a soccer betting app for the Euros/World Cups for me and my friends today! ⚽️

Toying with this idea since last year, and now I’m diving in!

➑️ Tailwind

Will be my first Inertia/React app. Lots of opportunities to learn! πŸ™Œ

The call for papers for the 2026 edition opens on January 12.
Where are the Laravel Scout fans?

What do you like most about Scout and what are hidden features that are maybe not obvious?
I guess the next update will add it. And while at it, it should also be able to help with brushing kids teeth while already in the air :-)
Thinking about using this stack for an app I'm currently experimenting with:

- Laravel
- Verbs
- Inertia
- React

I'd love to learn more about Inertia and React, so this might be a good option. Learning by doing.
