my plan is to try to vlog at least a week of making my album, then maybe 1-2 weeks later, follow up on the stuff i brought up in the vlog previously. my eye problems make things harder though. if my eyes still have too much trouble handling it, i guess i'll have to abruptly stop.

i think my upcoming album is somewhere around 60% done.
the songwriting is almost complete, so a lot of the work left is in recording, editing, and hiring session musicians. definitely no final tracklist yet!

i was wondering when it makes sense to make a creative project that has a net negative effect on my happiness, here's what i came up with:
1. if doing nothing is worse
2. if the project benefits others
3. if i can figure out how to start enjoying it more
4. if finishing it brings enough happiness

i wanna get better at giving feedback to art. a lot of feedback i see people give others is emphatic, but i can't do that a lot of the time. i can recognize positive qualities, but i often don't have strong opinions. i always aim to be 100% real, but i don't want my feedback to feel too lukewarm

i've definitely felt a loss of color in my life this year. i don't think i have depression. i have hope that unless something catastrophic happens in 2025, that things can be better, and perhaps this can be solved through strategy and willpower, God willing
