"Lots done. Lots more to do."

As Parliament is set to return tomorrow, here is a video the Labour government have put out to show us some of the things they have achieved in the first year.

And it's a LOOOOOOONG list.

But what about all the waste they told us about? What about all the savings DOGE was going to find? What about the promises to cut council tax?
It's almost as if they were just making shit up to fool people, like they did with Brexit.

Several sources told The Observer that the Electoral Commission had been given prior notice by a party, understood to be Reform UK, that it had received a donation made in cryptocurrency in recent weeks.
Reform is the only political party in Europe to accept donations in crypto

Britain isn’t broken. Farage just loves talking our great country down.

Loving Natasha Clark’s positive spin on Kemi Badenoch’s speech while James OB listens in disbelief. Her speech was bloody awful! 😂

One significant - & dangerous - thing to watch for is professional commentators objecting to words rather than examining the evidence. It's pearl-clutching & cowardly, obviously, but also a deliberate attempt to avoid confronting exactly what they themselves are facilitating and often cheering on.

“You described Reform and other parties across Europe today as among the 'right wing equivalents of the fascists in the 1930s'. Why?”

“Because that’s what they are”

@vicderbyshire.bsky.social asks Lord Heseltine about remarks he made at Conservative Party Conference.

This is an easy to read tracker of where the Labour government are in delivering its manifesto. I think it’s around 57 of the 83 pledges in total either delivered or in progress or on track. 🌹

Johnson’s cull of MPs prepared to tell the truth about Brexit consigned the Tories to the absurdity & irrelevance they currently enjoy. The media’s pitiful complicity in & failure to explain this lets Farage move in to the vacated space despite embodying the stupidity & bigotry that did for them.

if that HIGNFY Euan Blair fuckup had been about a right-winger it'd have had full front-page scandal coverage in the Mail followed by frontpage coverage across the board for the next week, days of "BBC in crisis" headline coverage by the BBC, and parliamentary questions about Tim Davie's future

The Tories have yet to take ownership of their 14 yrs of austerity yet alone apologise to the public. They inflicted Boris Johnson on us and then Liz Truss. She tanked the economy and added hundreds of pounds a month onto mortgages. Never trust a Tory.

Lucky for Nigel Farage that he never met that bloke who took bribes from the Russians, otherwise the media would be all over it.
