Shared some thoughts about a weekend in NYC with another autistic friend—Loops in, voices soft, joy unmasked.

The more I meet myself with care, the less I disappear.
And that presence? It blooms in full color. 🌻

I've been thinking about what it means to stay present in a chaotic, performative world. I wrote this in stillness, watching bees in my wildflower garden. A poem about presence, perception, and what remains real.

Among the material devastation to everyday people, Senate Dems have now blown a hole in their ability to work with the House.

We had an agreed upon plan, House took immense risk, then Senate turned around midway and destroyed it w/ a fear-based, inexplicable abdication.

They own what happens next.

American politics makes a lot more sense when you realize that the GOP is afraid of pissing off the GOP base, and the Dems are afraid of pissing off the GOP base, but neither party is afraid of pissing off the Dem base.

My two cents: we don’t abandon the Democratic Party. We remake it. It’s a good party. It just has bad leadership.

In Oversight today, my colleagues stuck to their usual script: blaming immigrants for all crime & claiming Dem mayors are too soft. Well, I was curious to know if they’ve ever had an immigrant with a criminal record that they could recall. Tune in!

I’m just saying, the Army Chorus singing a song about the French Revolution in this White House is a threat. In the best way.

Choirs are political and pointed. Always have been.

Instead of going after the SSI for DEI 🤦🏼‍♀️

Maybe they need to look at the DOD. Oh wait, then what would they have to threaten countries with.

But ya, cutting services to the poor, cutting dei, feeding the poor, cutting our forest management employees is way better 😡

We are, indeed, in great distress.
