It was only the A list CB that eluded and that was down to Crystal Palace screwing us over. Otherwise we purchased 3 defenders. Unfortunately one is injured long term and the other two have struggled along with the existing defence already there! I don’t think it is just one thing to blame.
I guess it is one option, especially given the int breaks don’t leave any squad for Slott to work with at Melwood. The alternative is play the seniors to keep trying to gel and get a win / confidence
The Board isn’t knee jerk and certainly won’t have a back up in mind given what Slott did last season. Reckon more likely they’d look to add to his assistants. We lost Heitinga and look how City improving with Lijnders.
Not sure fair to put the pressure on Ngumoha, and don’t think Nyoni is physically fully developed yet to step in and fix the midfield, let alone has enough experience. Everyone is criticising Slott for too many changes , so not sure all these would help. Key is to protect defense better.
One of the things i see is Jones and Dom get sucked into the same part of the pitch when the defense starts, which can mean either full back can get isolated. #LFC
Totally agree. Has been non existent. Not being nasty - just a reflection of the play. That play down the right for the goal didn’t even involve him did it?? Where was he???
