I know it's rather obvious but I would love to know the neurological explanation for this.

Like, it's so frustrating to work like this because I KNOW that what I'm drawing is poor quality. I feel I should be able to fix it, but for the life of me, I try and try and the drawing keeps getting worse.

Note you might need to experiment until you find a comfortable approach to it: also dont squeeze the fingers/no need to cut circulation! The important thing is that you dont bend them, even unconsciously.

Icing is SUPER helpful more than heat.
Run your hand under cold water.

And, if you haven't yet, I strongly recommend buying a vertical mouse.

These things were crucial in my recovery. I hope it helps.

My advice then is:
This one will seem weird but whenever possible immobilize your fingers in a straight position. I literally used tape to tape them together. A hand brace is good too but immobilize: ring and pinky finger and index and middle finger together.
Rest the hand whenever possible.

Do you have specific triggers? I have a couple of things that worked for me. In my case it was a sharp pain that ran down the side of my hand specifically down that area and towards my wrist. A stabbing but constant pain. Is it similar?

A comic. In it, we see a delerict warehouse, first from the outside then from the insiHOLY SHIT someone just punched through one of the boarded-upwindows! And when we see their moonlight shadow cast on the ground-- ahh, ahh, it's a werewolf! And then, presumably from the same window, someone throws down a gym bag.

The werewolf descends down a pile of stacked boxes, before suffering the opposite of twink death. Twink birth? In a flash of pink homosexual light, he transforms into a scruffy, long-dicked influencer. YUCK! They didn't warn me this was going to be so SICK?!

The werewolf has dressed up in branded gear. Yuck. An influencer?! He looks at a camera, hoist overhead: "What's up everyone? Who's ready to get lost with ya boy, Luke?" BARF, disgusting. Who could've drawn this?! Anyway, he's walking down the warehouse and says, rather influencerly:
"Tonight, we have a super special show! I'm hunting down a magical collar! Magical how? Well, normally, I couldn't tell you--"
Then, we cut off.

And you would think that would be jarring but I've seen plenty of people say they target small creators rather than companies because small creators CAN be forced to change, can be hurt, can be affected, while they cannot exercise their powertrip fantasies against big money.

Can't wait for Supercorp Inc. a subsidiary of PlanetOwn LTD to own eroticism and for people to defend it as more ethical actually than Linda Nonymous making rent money from her footpics because the former is more tasteful (the businesspeople wear suits) and the latter is liable to being stomped on.

In Civ games, Wonders of the World are projects that take a long time to build, usually nobody knows you're making one until it's done, and if someone else finishes it before you, a sad trumpet tells you your efforts are wasted. As of late art feels that way, but the race is against AI and The News
