I held up the crosswalk with nobody nearby bc an elderly teacher was slowly crossing the middle of the road half a block down and the man in the car that i stopped said i should work for the police department…man dont put that on me!!

One of the parents came up to me and showed me a pic of his daughter’s friend bc apparently they all think i look like her from the future and yaknow what….theyre not wrong. AND her name is so similar to mine that i have been called that name several times. Ive got a mini me!

NEW — I dug into the story of ICE abducting a 13-year-old boy in Massachusetts and moving him 500 miles across state lines without notifying his mother, local cop's complicity, and how the federal government's justification for such cruelty is already falling apart:

ICE took a 13-year-old they said had a gun. Local cops say he didn’t.

Now he's detained 500 miles away from his Massachusetts home.

One time i was on a walk, fully passed a driveway, and then spun around 180 and immediately pointed out a cat. Couldnt have seen it when i walked by, it wasnt visible from that angle. I just sensed a cat vibe. What a wonderfully useless but delightful power.

Adding to my accidental birding hobby thread. Had this confirmed to be an Acorn Woodpecker by a passing grandpa bc apparently my favorite way to do smalltalk is to show people birds. Its very effective

So Jurassic Park is about a group of rich people who don't understand that biology is far more complicated than "there are only two genders" and how this ignorance toward gender fluidity in nature causes these rich people to lose their money and die.

Ok im done for now. The hardest part was convincing parents that its better to walk to the next street (not far) where there was NO river. And then they begrudgingly do it, but would thank me/acted surprised when it worked like i was inconveniencing for the fun? I dont mess around about wet shoes!!

An annoying thing is the street with an easier cross/less river is no day parking so the teachers cant park there or they’ll get tickets. Theres no parking lot. Who designed this school 🥲

One of the older teachers couldnt cross the river and didnt want to walk to the next intersection where there was an easier cross, so one of the parents picked her up in her car and ferried her to the school. So sweet 🥹

Have to be strategic about where i stand and step today bc of the rain. The street has big dips on each side so theres huge rivers on every side. and the corner i usually stand at is a lake. Inlove the rain tho sonits ok 🥰

I forgot today was early dismissal which means my shift is 2 hours earlier. I went out to buy some bagels and had to race across pasadena to make it 🥲 i didnt even have a chance to get outta the car to buy any bagels!!
