Unsavory wrathful rhetoric aside, that book gives good insights on magic. I do not regret having read it. The purpose of that book is summoning Djinn to inflict devastating pain on whoever you wish it on.

Although some scene repeats with interesting meticulous changes like this, Chloe apparition and Faith being gone is so powerful a change that it creates entire new scenes, demons, important areas, arcs and new friends. As time passes, it will someday get off Joss Whedon script completely.

Buffy would be slightly less hostile toward Platt since she did not get primed by Scott friends to dislike him so I removed her friend comment. Because I removed the friend comment, Platt could no longer use the friend tangent, so I had to create another in-character way to warm up with her.

In my version, Buffy did not say "I dont want us to be friends." The reason why she did not say it in my version is because in the canon, she meets Scott's friends who badmouth Platt. In my fic, Buffy does not meet Scott friends since Buffy isn't dating Scott because of a scene with Chloe a week ago

A smaller example of my fanfic butterfly-effect is that scene between Buffy and Platt. First text is my fanfic, second is the canon.

Given the nature of the butterfly-effect, the longer Chloe will be in the Buffyverse, the greater the impact will be.
An extreme example of this would be if, because of Chloe, Buffy doesn't need to die to save the world from Glory, that would mean the two next seasons would basically cease to exist.

However Chloe does not appear in a new Buffyverse, it isn't a blank slate. She remains in the "real BtVS" and as such the time table on many events will remain unchanged such as the mayor trying to ascend, Angel inevitable coming back or Willow "becoming" gay.

I wanted to share how my fanfic handles the "Butterfly-effect" of Chloe apparitions within the Buffyverse.

Chloe appears as a slayer (replacing Faith) in season 3. You can imagine that removing Faith from the world will massively change s3. Chloe actions throughout the fic will change them further.

The last 2 days have been daunting spiritually speaking. I was emotionally drained & crying all the time. Working on having the Buffyverse permeates into the mundane and marrying both world is actually pretty tough.

I've been pretty reckless (on purpose) with magical operations, which did not help.
